DigiShakti – Web Portal and Mobile App

For the implementation of “Tablet and Smartphone Distribution Scheme 2021-22”

For the successful implementation of the “Tablet and Smartphone Distribution Scheme 2021-22”, an interactive Web Portal namely ‘DigiShakti and two Mobile Apps namely ‘DigiShakti Mapper’ & ‘DigiShakti Adhyayan’ were developed by Omninet Technologies Pvt. Ltd. through which complete process i.e., from students’ data uploading till distribution of devices and post-distribution activities could be executed.

Paperless automation of complete activities like Supplier Management, Device Inspection, Consignment Dispatch, generation of Students’ slip, Device mapping, Distribution & post distribution activities through the Web Portal & Mobile App.

Objective

  • Development of a reliable and interactive Web Portal, namely ‘DigiShakti’
  • Development of two Mobile Apps namely ‘DigiShakti Mapper’ & ‘DigiShakti Adhyayan
  • Flawless Distribution of Tablets & Smartphones to over 51 lakh+ students.

A dedicated team of 100+ OTPL personnel was deployed with proper delegation and clear, charted out responsibilities.
The responsibilities included coordinating with each and every college, university and all other stakeholders. The entire task required meticulous micro-management and execution. 

  • Data Collection – Gathering and collecting data from Universities, Boards, Societies, Councils, Institutions was a mammoth task.
  • Data Management – Given the high sensitivity of the data, its storage and usage also required careful planning.
  • Timelines & Deadlines – The distribution had to be done under a declared scheme. Thus, meeting the deadlines, coordinating with stakeholders and collection of data was a mega challenge.
  • Balancing Act – A huge number of personnel from OTPL was deployed in the project, given the deadlines and its enormity. Thus, meeting targets of other/existing projects was also a challenge.

Web Portal Highlights (as on 11th March 2025)

  • Approximately 1.2 Crore students’ data uploaded on the Portal
  • Login and Dashboard for 75 Districts, 15 Departments, 85+ Universities/Societies/ Boards/Council & 23,000+ Institutions
  • Management & distribution of approximately 60,000 devices to students on 25th December 2021 at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow
  • Management & distribution of approximately 51 Lakh+ devices in all the Districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Mobile App Highlights

  • DigiShakti Mapper Mobile App for mapping of all the devices with the students’ data.
  • DigiShakti Adhyayan Mobile App to keep the students’ data updated along with their academic details & other information.
